The Governor’s Appointments Office is currently accepting applications for appointments to the Florida Board of Respiratory Care.

The Florida Board of Respiratory Care plays a leading role in the ever-changing health care environment through dialogue with the public, the legislature, academia, and the community.  The Board consists of seven members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. Each respiratory care professional must have been actively engaged in the delivery of respiratory care services in this state for at least 4 consecutive years prior to appointment. The board shall include a registered respiratory therapist, a certified respiratory therapist; a respiratory care professional from the areas of respiratory care education, respiratory care management supervision and homecare/subacute. Two members must be consumer members, who are residents of this state and have never been licensed as health care practitioners. Applications for all appointments are being accepted for consideration.

In addition, you can browse the Board’s website at https://floridasrespiratorycare.gov/ to learn more about the Board, including how frequently the Board meets and the size of agendas from past meetings.
